North Chattanooga will soon get a a cold-pressed juice and raw food café, which is scheduled to open at 1210 Tremont St. in four to six weeks.

The business will be called Southern Sqweeze and will offer cold-pressed juice, which is made using a hydraulic press to extract juice and omit oxidation, making the juice pure.

In addition to the cold-pressed juices, the business will offer smoothies, breakfast items, grab-and-go salads and other options.

The new business will also offer raw food.

Owner Kelsey Vasileff, who has been a yoga teacher for five years, said that cleansing programs will be a significant part of the business.

Wi-Fi will be available, and she's hoping customers will come hang out, just as they would at a coffee shop.

"I wanted to start a juice bar because I have been looking to do something that went hand in hand with yoga so that I could continue to do both," she said in a prepared statement.

"Over the years, I have become more interested in nutrition and an overall healthy lifestyle, and I thought this would be complementary," she said. "Chattanooga is my home, and I am driven to start a business that will contribute to its continued growth. Healthy, thriving individuals create a healthy, thriving city."
