What is cold-pressed?
Cold-pressed juice is produced using a press method instead of other conventional methods like centrifugal or "chewing" juicers. Most presses use between 1,500 and 2,000 pounds of pressure to achieve maximum yield.
Using a press to extract juice from fruits and veggies retains maximum nutrient value and avoids creating heat: more vitamins, minerals and enzymes for the body with a cleaner and crisper taste. Pressed juice is also extracted with much less oxidation (spoiling) maximizing the lifetime and quality of the juice.
Let’s face it, we’re hard on our bodies, especially our digestive system. Eating too fast, too much, and too often runs our organs ragged. During the Southern Sqweeze Cleanse, you will give your system the rest it needs, while getting your body the nourishment it craves. During the cleanse, your diet will consist of juices, almond/cashew milk, water and decaf herbal teas. Your body will rejuvinate, absorbing the vitamins, enzymes and minerals better than it did before while dumping its dormant toxins and waste.
How do I cleanse?
If this is your first cleanse, we suggest you do only one or three days maximum, whereas seasoned practitioners do cleanses as long as five, and even seven days. Any quick change to your diet can be a shock to the system, so we recommend slowly working yourself up to, and out of, the cleanse. By gradually removing processed foods, animal products, caffeine and alcohol from your daily diet, and replacing them with raw foods the days leading up to and after the cleanse, you’ll set yourself and your body up for success. This is not designed to starve you! It is designed to give your entire internal environment a well-deserved break.
You’ll have five 16 oz. bottles of Southern Sqweeze juice and one 16 oz. bottle of Southern Sqweeze nut milk each day. Your daily routine will start with a warm cup of lemon water with a dash of cayenne pepper (recommended, but not provided). Every two to three hours, you will consume one bottle, with 8 ounces of water both before and after. Be sure to drink at least half your body weight in ounces of water and if you need, you are welcome to add slices of lime and lemon to your water.
When should I cleanse and how often?
A cleanse is great to do when you’re low on energy and need a reboot, if you are looking for a change, may be getting sick, or if you just feel like something is missing. Like the engine of a car, which needs to be serviced and have its oil changed from time to time to function properly and optimally, our bodies benefit from a cleanse in the same way.
How often one should cleanse is totally dependent on the individual; everyone is different. Some people find doing them two to three times a year is best, while other people may benefit from them once a month. Cleanses are good to do seasonally as well, to get rid of the old, and start with the new.
